How can nature benefit my mental health?
Spending time in green space or bringing nature into your everyday life can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing. For example, doing things like growing food or flowers, exercising outdoors or being around animals can have lots of positive effects. It can:
- improve your mood
- reduce feelings of stress or anger
- help you take time out and feel more relaxed
- improve your physical health
- improve your confidence and self-esteem
- help you be more active

Day of Reflection
Tue 23 Mar 2021Today marks one year since lockdown began. 23.03.2020
PM Boris Johnson told us to stay home in the effort to tackle the Coronavirus.
At 12 noon today, we took time to reflect on the last 12 months and remember the people who have lost their lives to Coronavirus and those who are still fighting the disease.
Pupils and staff lined Rock Lane and stood together on the playground to say a prayer and remember with a minutes silence.
Your child is coming home with a tealight which can be lit on your doorstep or front window at 8pm this evening as a national initiative to signify a "beacon of remembrance".
