School Council 2024/2025
As a small yet unique part of God’s Big family, we will inspire and nurture all to become the very best they can be. Opening up the world, we will celebrate our Father’s (God’s) wondrous, diverse creation. We will all live, love, laugh and learn in the light of Christ.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ Philippians 4: 13

School Council
At St Stephen’s Tockholes CE Primary School, we are proud of our School Council – a group of pupils who represent the views of their classmates and help shape our school community.
School Council members are elected by their peers and take on an important leadership role. They meet to share ideas, discuss suggestions, and work together to make positive improvements across the school.
The Council is involved in a range of activities, including organising events, supporting fundraising initiatives, and promoting pupil voice. Through this, children develop confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
We are excited to see the difference our School Council will make as they help to ensure every voice is heard.

The School Council are involved with deciding on the nominated charity for the academic year, along with arranging other charity events such as Children In Need, The Poppy Appeal, Macmillan Cancer Support. Fundraising raffles will benefit all our children.
School Council meet regularly, they are happy to give their play time to attend the meetings.
Our first charity event for this academic year was the Macmillan coffee morning held on Friday the 27th September. Parents and carers enjoyed hot drinks, cakes a good chat. We raised an amazing £143.50 for this very important charity.
Our second sponsored event helped with supporting our Great British Athletes. We completed a sponsored fitness circuit and raised a fabulous £1,334 of which £684.90 will go towards buying new sports and physical development equipment for our playgrounds whilst the rest will enable Great Athletes to keep running and support & fund top athletes to compete and train at the highest level. We hope that some of our Little Athletes may go on to become Great Athletes of the future.
