  • Harvest Festival 29th September 2023

    Wed 13 Sep 2023

    Dear Parents and Carers

    Harvest 2023

Our School Harvest Festival is being held in Church on Friday, 29th September, at 2pm.

Please note that there will be no Celebration Worship in the morning that day.

This year we will be collecting non- perishable food items for Darwen Food Larder

Any donations of food items will be very gratefully received during the next two weeks or in the Harvest Service.

In school, we will be finding out about The Bishop of Blackburn’s Harvest Appeal for 2023.

This year the appeal is supporting the work of CRESS UK. CRESS stands for Christian Relief and Education for South Sudanese. CRESS UK is a Christian charity whose mission is to educate and train South Sudanese people with the knowledge and skills to empower them to establish self-sustaining communities

In 2013 a civil war broke out in South Sudan. Thousands of people fled over the nearby border into Northern Uganda and were dispersed into refugee and displaced persons camps. The work of CRESS came to an abrupt end within South Sudan and was re-established afresh in Northern Uganda. The Vision of enabling community self-sufficiency, both in exile and on eventual return to South Sudan, remains strong.

  • Let's 'Make a Difference' to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III

    Wed 03 May 2023

On Friday 5th May we are inviting families to come and join us from 2:30pm to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

We are holding a charity fundraising event as part of the King's wishes to make a difference and do something good for others.  With this in mind we have decided to support MacMillan Cancer Support in memory of one of our parents, Linzey Smith, who sadly lost her battle with Cancer in January.  Linzey and her family were, and still continue to be, supported by MacMillan, so we thought this would be a fitting way to 'Make a Difference'.

Please come along from 2:30pm for a 'coffee and cake' for £2 to raise funds for this very worthy cause.

  • Lent appeal 2022

Wed 02 Mar 2022 Mrs Riding

As a Church of England School you will be aware that we work hard to support charities throughout the year.  Our school community tries daily to live out Jesus’ new commandment to, “love one another as I have loved you” - as such each year we support a charitable project during Lent.
During Lent we will be collecting food in school for the Foodbank as indicated on the attached poster.  Any of the foods listed on the poster are needed and would be welcomed by the Foodbank.  Children can bring food to their class or it can be left at the office.
We want to stress that this is a purely VOLUNTARY donation, please do not feel obliged to donate.

Biblical Value

Inspiring God’s children to achieve their full potential. We are a small school but big enough to care and inspire all children. We provide a safe Christian environment for all to work and play together.
