I work as an investigator for the Home Office – Immigration Enforcement. A Financial Intelligence Officer, accredited by the National Crime Agency, I specialise in Financial Crime and Cybercrime. Prior to this role I worked as a Fraud Investigator for the DWP, covering East Lancashire. I am a member of the Home Office Christians Group and the Shadow Board of Immigration Enforcement. I am a lover of music and have previously worked as a professional musician in the Middle East. I started taking violin lessons at the age of five and by the age of ten I was playing in my church choir. Worship/Church music is very close to my heart and has been so all my life. My wife and I lead a youth worship band at Elim church in Blackburn. Our mission is to help the youth enhance their musical abilities and train them to be worship leaders whilst imparting Christian ethos and values. Coming from a family of academics, I was drawn to the teaching profession and have worked as a Guitar Teacher at The Jumeirah Primary School in Dubai. Due to the nature of my job, I am trained to scrutinise every piece of evidence, and will readily challenge any decision that I feel has not thoroughly explored all available options. I look forward to my role as Parent Governor, and hope to utilise my wide range of skills for the betterment of St Stephen’s.
