John Jacklin

I have lived next door to the school with my wife Judith since 1974. I have two adult children and three grandchildren.

I attended Huddersfield Grammar School, Kings School Peterborough and Leeds University.

I practiced as a Chartered Accountant in Darwen for over 40 years. I am now retired.

I am a Trustee and Administrator of several charitable organisations.

I was chairman of the Tockholes Parish Council for about 20 years. I was treasurer of St. Stephen’s Church for about 20 years.

I am a member of the Tockholes Village Hall Committee.

I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Darwen for 45 years and held the position as Treasurer for 11 years and served as President. I am a Paul Harris Fellow.

I served on the Darwen Town Centre Partnership Board for many years.

I was a Governor and Chariman of the old Moorland School for several years.
