I began my teaching career in Bradford in 1986. Since that time I have worked in 1 county school, 3 Church of England schools and now I am the head teacher of a Voluntary Aided Methodist school. My move into being a Headteacher began in 2006. All my head ships have been in Christian schools. I work for both the Diocese and the Local Authority as an associate. I also serve as an inspector for the National Society and inspect local Anglican and Methodist Primary Schools.
I am Mum to two boys. Ben is 25 and lives in London. Tom is 21 and still lives at home.
I enjoy walking, reading and listening to classical music. I have set myself a new challenge this year and joined a ballroom dancing class!
WHY ST STEPHENS
I really feel privileged to have been asked by the Board of Education to be a Governor at this school. I know it has had challenging times recently but now with the good OFSTED judgement the school is ready to build on the firm foundation
